A 10-member delegation of INDIA bloc leaders met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday and submitted a memorandum seeking her intervention to remove Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in electoral rolls.

The meeting, which lasted nearly an hour, came after Opposition MPs marched from Parliament House towards Rashtrapati Bhavan and were stopped by police at Vijay Chowk. Several leaders staged a sit-in protest at the site, while the delegation proceeded to meet the President.
